25 (Spanglish): MERENDIANDO with Santiago Guzmán

This week Monica and Camila chat with Santiago Guzmán, a theatre and filmmaker born in Mexico City and now based in St. John’s, Newfoundland. Santiago shares stories from his journey moving from Mexico to the Maritimes, studying and working in the arts as a person of colour, and starting his own production company, TODOS Productions.

In the second half of the episode, we check in with him a few weeks later to talk about how the recent border closures and isolation measures have impacted him and his work.

Santiago comparte con nosotrxs historias de su mudanza de México a las provincias Marítimas, como es estudiar y trabajar en las artes como una persona de color, y como fue que comenzo su propia compañía productora, TODOS Productions. 

En la segunda mitad del episodio, hablamos con Santiago unas semanas después acerca de cómo los recientes cierres de fronteras y medidas de aislamiento lo han afectado a él y su trabajo.
