56 (Spanglish): Merendiando with Miss Velvetine

This week’s guest is Miss Velvetine, “the Purple Diamond”, a classic Mexican beauty with modern pop sensibilities who is here to rock your world and cumbia their way into your heart. She is a drag queen, singer, dancer, actor, comedian, and icon. 

 

In this interview we talk about her experiences as a drag artist in Monterrey Nuevo León, how important it is to get paid for being the party, and how she created her new music genre, Dragteño!

La invitada de esta semana es Miss Velvetine, "el Diamante Púrpura", una belleza mexicana clásica con un toque de pop moderno. Miss Velvetine está aquí para sacudir tu mundo y llegar a tu corazón a ritmo de una cumbia. Ella es una drag queen, cantante, bailarina, actriz, comediante y todo un ícono.

 

En esta entrevista hablamos como es ser una artista drag en Monterrey Nuevo León, lo importante que es que le paguen por ser la fiesta y cómo es que creó su nuevo género musical, el ¡Dragteño!
